Imaging

Teledyne Marine Imaging provides subsea imaging solutions and in particular acoustic imaging solutions such as advanced multibeam echosounder and sonar solutions servicing a variety of markets and applications. Also part of the Imaging group are vision imaging solutions in the form of subsea and marine cameras, LED lighting and underwater strobes for a wealth of offshore, research, nuclear and defense applications.

MULTIBEAM ECHOSOUNDERS

The comprehensive range of Teledyne Marine multibeam echosounder products provides imaging and mapping capability from the highest resolution shallow water systems for small vessels, AUVs and ROVs all the way to the full ocean systems for deep water mapping and scientific research

SINGLEBEAM HYDROGRAPHIC ECHOSOUNDERS

Odom Hydrographic provides an extensive range of hydrographic level single beam echosounders with the flexibility of frequency agility supporting existing transducer installations. Models include modern PC screen based interfaces as well as support for tried and tested thermal record printing. Maximum depth range varies based on a number of factors including maximum transmit power, water conditions and vessel installation.

2D FORWARD LOOKING IMAGING SONARS

Teledyne Marine have a wide range of forward looking sonars systems from the highly compact and low power BlueView M-Series to the high resolution long range SeaBat 7128 sonar, we have all your needs covered with the most extensive 2D product range in the marketplace. Configurations available include systems for use on surface vessels, ROVs and AUVs

MULTIBEAM AND SCANNING SONARS (3D)

The SeaBat 7130 is a 200kHz / 635kHz High-Resolution Forward Looking Sonar System. 635kHz provides high-resolution classification functionality, whereas the lower frequency provides long range 2-D detection and 3-D output modes. The SeaBat 7130 is an ideal sonar platform for development of advanced forward-looking sonar applications that include obstacle avoidance, terrain mapping, Concurrent Mapping and Localization (CML), object classification, and more. The bathymetry mode produces raw Vernier results which must be further processed to derive a final bathymetry product.
BlueView 3D multibeam scanning systems are highly portable instruments that create high resolution 3D imagery and capture accurate measurement data of underwater structures, objects and sites.

ACOUSTIC TRANSDUCERS

We have over 30 years proven reliability in underwater acoustics. Over the years we have worked with internationally recognized laboratories and industries on the development of acoustic standard references and advanced sensor designs. The result of this work is an expansive, comprehensive line of precision reference hydrophones, projectors, and transducers covering frequencies from 0.1Hz to the MHz band.

CAMERAS – STILLS

High definition, multipurpose digital stills camera for underwater still image generation. Highly suited to general observation and monitoring of fixed assets down to depths of 4000m. During deployment, captured photos are stored on the system and can be displayed and reviewed on the viewfinder to full resolution.

CAMERAS - STANDARD DEFINITION

Highly reliable, standard definition camera systems of miniature tooling, multi-purpose, swivelling head, low light and nuclear-specific forms. Suitable for a number of general vision applications including diver operations, tooling, ROV and AUV, with the low-light and ultra-low light systems being highly suitable for ROV navigation and submarine applications at depths of minimal light. Depth operation ranges from a shallow water 100m rated advanced blacklight nuclear camera to 3000m and 6000m rated cameras for primary vehicle vision and robotic tooling.

CAMERAS – HIGH DEFINITION

High performance, high definition color cameras that are ideal for ROV inspection tasks, scientific observation and broadcast applications. Types of camera include miniature tooling and wide-angle systems depth rated for operations in shallow, mid and deep water, as well as a nuclear-specific version of the Surveyor for inspection in cooling ponds and other nuclear environments.

LEAK DETECTION

Hydrocarbon and fluorescent dye leaks can be catastrophic for offshore production operations and as such if ill-monitored and not controlled could cause a whole host of problems for a number of stakeholders across our ecosystem. Purpose-designed and custom-assembled, these visual detection and monitoring systems are bespoke versions of standard products which therefore provide high reliability as well as high performance as all leak detection lights and cameras are highly-specific to each end-use.

HYDROPHONES – RESON

Teledyne RESON reference hydrophones are designed for precision underwater acoustic measurements, signal detection, and/or calibrated reference acoustic projection. The result of this work is an expansive, comprehensive line of precision reference hydrophones and projectors covering frequencies from 0.1Hz to the MHz band. Every hydrophone leaving production is individually calibrated. Teledyne RESON provides calibrations consistent with international standards established at the National Physical Laboratory, UK.

LIGHTS

High output, high performance LED lights of compact miniature multipurpose and floodlight constructions. Available at a number of operating depths, the series of subsea floodlights provide extensive brightness in abyssal darkness, whilst the multitude of generic multipurpose lamps are ideal for both small and large ROV and AUV applications providing ultra-brightness from the latest in LED technology.

SPECIALIST CAMERA AND LIGHT SYSTEMS

Specialist camera and light systems are assembled from or are variants of standard products providing high reliability benefits, whilst being highly suited to custom or one-off marine and offshore operations, with a sole focus on the end-use and any unique features that are required. These systems are tailored for two different sectors; Oil & Gas and Defense, however many of the internal products making up each system are the same, they are simply combined with specialist parts like mounting frames and deployment platforms to deliver required performance parameters. The varying camera and lighting packages can be customized to suit any new application not yet provided for, whilst many of the single-product systems are highly-tuned or custom-built for military ops in explosive, hostile and rugged environments.

RELOCATION STROBES

The relocation or identification of submerged assets once deployment is complete can add unnecessary time and complications to a retrieval but Xenon underwater strobes can be fitted to equipment in order to identify an asset's position, down to 6000m. This equipment can also play a pivotal role in emergency relocation tasks where movement or bad performance requires a relocation. Strobes can also be used to mark underwater objects, vehicles, divers or worksites in deployment - not just for recovery but for continuous use during operation
